A GROUP affiliated to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) by name Concerned Communicators of NPP in Ashanti Region is asking Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a flag-bearer aspirant and MP for Assin Central, to stop the threats he has been making on individuals in the party including the President and the Vice President.
The group’s Chairman and Spokesperson, Eric Wiafe Akenteng who is popularly known as ”Kwame NPP’ said, ”it is becoming a worrying trend to see Mr Agyepong talk to party persons and leaders anyhow”.
He wondered why the Assin-Central MP, having been a beneficiary of the party’s fortunes in government, would turn around and insult and threaten persons who helped in making the party attractive for him to seek to lead the same.
‘’We the Concerned Communicators of Ashanti NPP want to caution Kennedy Agyepong to desist from his constant attacks of the leaders and persons of this party because his success as a businessmen has been by the opportunities NPP granted him through President Kufuor’’, the Chairman stated.
Election Difficulties:
The Chairman said the recent super delegate election by the NPP was smooth but for the little misunderstanding that happened in the North East Region.
This issue, Mr Akenteng said had been blown out of proportion by Kennedy Agyapong who apart from threatening in a viral video was also insulting and daring the President and the Vice President.
He said this attitude put on display by the MP was so bad and has since gotten a bad name for the NPP, the political party that has made Kennedy Agyapong who he is today.
‘’You have achieved and acquired what you have now because the NPP allowed you to make money and also field you as its parliamentary candidate and now you are fully enjoying the fruits’’, Mr Akenteng said.
Caution:
Mr Akenteng has however cautioned that the group would unleash venom on the Presidential aspirant if he dares to throw up such insults again on any leader of the party especially the Vice President.
The group, he stated, stands ready to respond in similar manner to anything the aspirant throws up again on the party and its leaders.
The Chairman said that attitude must be stopped and his outfit was ready to lead the charge so that nobody gets up to throw insults on persons whose character are untainted in the party.
‘’My group stands ready to reply and respond to any threats and insults from Kennedy Agyapong and this is to tell him that the party has had enough of his immoral and annoying behaviour’’, the group Chairman stated
