Some of these attention-seeking journalists have verbally attacked Ibrahim Mahama just because he has been able to purchase a new plane, which is a sign of jealousy.

Ibrahim Mahama

Ibrahim Mahama is a prominent Ghanaian businessman of international repute.

He owns a chain of businesses, both local and abroad, and his businesses continue to create employment for the people and support the economy to grow.

Ibrahim Mahama has owned a private plane for many years so he purchasing a second plane shouldn’t surprise anyone or generate controversy.

Unprovoked Attacks

However, some journalists are trying to link Ibrahim Mahama’s success in business and his ability to buy a new plane to his relationship with his brother, President Mahama, which is not fair.

Some of these media personalities have even hurled unprintable words at Ibrahim Mahama just because he has become successful in business.

Ibrahim Stays Focused

In the face of all these provocative acts, Ibrahim Mahama, who is a gentleman and very humble, has remained quiet and decided to focus on his work, earning the praise and admiration of Ghanaians.

Ghanaians Fight For Ibrahim

Interestingly, majority of Ghanaians have jumped into the defense of Ibrahim Mahama, whom they described as a philanthropist extraordinaire.

In a vox pop by Press1News in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, most of the people stated that those accusing Ibrahim Mahama are only jealous of his great feats in life and in the business world.

“I’m a strong New Patriotic Party (NPP) member but Ibrahim Mahama should be supported by all and sundry to sustain his extraordinary works for the country.

“He is the only businessman who has consistently helped the needy in society, especially those in dire need of financial support”, Akwasi Adu Asamoah, a resident of Bantama said.

Another NPP man, Kwadwo Ampadu of Ashtown, said “I heard about Ibrahim Mahama when ex-President Kufuor was in political office. He is blessed with business ideas and he has been rich for many years.

“In fact, his richness has nothing to do with NPP or NDC politics so nobody should link the purchase of his second plane to President Mahama because it has nothing to do with him”.

Maame Akosua Konadu, a resident Dichemso, recounted how Ibrahim Mahama supported a female SHS student in Kumasi, who got injured in the eyes, to travel to the United Kingdom (UK) to seek medical care for free to save her sight.

“Ibrahim Mahama is an angel in human form. I see him as a precious gift from God to mother Ghana so we should put our political affiliations aside and support him to do more for the country”, she said.

Opanin Kwame Bediako of Abuakwa also urged the government to support Ibrahim Mahama to improve his chain of businesses “so more people can benefit from his generous acts”.

“I haven’t seen Ibrahim Mahama in person before but the truth must be told, he is doing fantastic job for the country so we should support him to deliver more. Nobody should sabotage him”, he added.
