KUMASI MAYOR, Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, has criticized his predecessor, Sam Pyne and ex-Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, for causing the filthy environment in Kumasi.

He said Messrs Pyne and Osei Mensah left behind a city which is full of dirt, stressing that the two gentlemen failed woefully to deal with sanitation issues in the Ashanti Regional capital whilst in office.

In this regard, the Kumasi Mayor, who is popularly known as ‘Zuba’, without mincing words, has told Sam Pyne and Osei Mensah not to criticize his (Zuba’s) administration, which has just resumed office.

“You left behind the filth we are witnessing in Kumasi now. You couldn’t do it so you are not qualified to criticize me”, Zuba, with a grim face, told Sam Pyne and Osei Mensah on Angel fm on Wednesday.

According to him “Everybody can criticize me but the two of them, Sam Pyne and Osei Mensah, who failed woefully in office to deal with the sanitation issues in Kumasi, have no right to criticize me”.

Sam Pyne is on record to have openly criticized Zuba over his decision to flog stubborn traders, who have defied the rules of the assembly, by trading in the middle of the roads and putting their lives in danger.

Zuba reiterated that he is now trying his best to deal with the mess that Sam Pyne and Osei Mensah left behind due to their ineffectiveness so the two men should “shut up and bow their heads in shame”.

The new Kumasi Mayor, who once served as the MCE for Obuasi and succeeded, stated categorically that he is ready and prepared for the KMA job, promising to lead Kumasi to the Promised Land, very soon.
