Speaking to this reporter, Hon Pyne said the current youthful elements in the party were gradually departing from the values that stood the party in great stead.

“It is the kind of service some of us gave when the NPP was formed that has stood the party well to date and it is my hope that same values are also learnt by the youth”, Hon Pyne stated.

Drifting:

Hon Pyne noted that the NPP youth seem to want to reap from any service they render to the party immediately they offer same.

Such attitude, he noted was messing up the party since no one wants to do anything for the love for the NPP.

He stated that the monetisation of all activities including the services members render to the NPP would affect the party if same was not checked.

“I’ll admonish that the youth serve with complete dedication and passion knowing very well that such service would ultimately be rewarded by the party whether in government or out of government”, the former Ashanti Regional Secretary appealed.

Re-organsiation:

The former Ashanti Regional Secretary commended efforts by the party to purge itself from issues that may have occasioned its defeat at the polls in 2024.

He noted that the Mike Ocquaye Committee had done a good job for providing space and opportunity to members to share their perspectives on what may have gone wrong with the campaign of 2024.

Hon Pyne also indicated that the platform also brought about things and policies government implemented that may have affected the party’s electoral fortunes.

These issues, he stated has culminated in the recent outcomes from the NEC and National Council meetings that has given clear guidelines as to how the party should operate henceforth.
