A 53 YEAR old female Momo vendor in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region, has sustained severe body injuries after she was cruelly attacked with cutlass by two energetic male robbers.
Mabel Larbi, the Momo vendor, was said to have sustained body injuries during the bloody attack, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital by some Good Samaritans help save her life.
The bloody-thirsty hoodlums, during the unexpected attack, managed to rob the helpless victim of a lady’s bag, which, reportedly, contained an unspecified amount of money and bolted.
The robbery incident, according to the Suntreso District Police, happened in a shop at North Patase in Kumasi and they (police) have since commenced their investigations to help arrest the culprits.
“On 10/12/2025 at about 2045 hours, Abena Afrah of North Patasi reported that at about 1040 hours of same day, her sister by name Mabel Larbi, a Momo vendor, was attacked by two young men she can identify when seen, with a cutlass in her shop, located at Patase Kumasi.
“That the men inflicted cutlass wounds on her. The men robbed her off her lady’s bag, containing unspecified amount of money. The victim was rushed to Suntreso government hospital for treatment”, the police said.
A Suntreso District Police statement, which has been seen by the paper, disclosed that the police on receipt of the complaint, proceeded to the scene but the suspects could not be traced.
According to the report, police traced the victim to the Suntreso government hospital and met victim, Mabel Larbi, aged 53 years old, at the Emergency Ward, receiving treatment.
“The victim was issued with police medical report form for endorsement. Statement obtained from her”, the report said
“Police are putting up measures in place to apprehend suspects to assist investigation”.
