PUSAG President Congratulates Mahama…Promises To Support Educational Efforts.

The newly elected President of the Private Universty Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG), Mr Ibrahim Issah has congratulated the President-Elect of the country, Mr John Dramani Mahama for his famous electoral victory. 

In his first acceptance speech after his election as the 16th President of PUSAG last weekend, Mr Ibrahim promised his outfit’s support to the incoming NDC government to enable it succeed with its educational reforms and policies.

He noted that the victory of Mr Mahama symbolises the confidence the Ghanaian people have in his leadership.

“As PUSAG, we pledge to support your administration, especially in areas that empower students, enhance education, and promote youth employment”, Mr Ibrahim stated.

Commendation:

The PUSAG President also used the occasion to commend the outgoing Vice President of Ghana,  Dr Mahamodu Bawumia for showing true statemanship by conceding defeat at the earliest time of the election.

He noted that this singular act by Dr Bawumia saved the country of the tension that could have erupted in the absence of a concession.

“I profusely commend Dr Mahamodu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer for demonstrating statesmanship by conceding defeat even before the Electoral Commission announced the official result”, the President stated.

The PUSAG also congratulated Hon.Mohammed Adams Sukparu, former president of PUSAG , MP for Sissala West Constituency and the MP-Elect for Sissala West Constituency.

Promise:

The PUSAG President thanked all stakeholders of education including its Alumni and promised deliver on the mandate given to the 16th Executive body.

Mr Ibrahim promised that his administration will be guided by innovation, training, integrity and the spirit of empowerment to deliver solutions to the student body.

He also promised to ntroduce innovative solutions to student challenges, from digitizing administrative processes to creating tech-driven platforms for student engagement.

The President  also stated his desire to work with stakeholders to integrate emerging technologies like AI, data science and quantum computing into private university in achieving excellence in education.

Vision:

The President promised to rebrand PUSAG as a champion of academic excellence both locally and globally.

He mentioned that PUSAG would be an advocate for the recognition of degrees from private universities as equal to those from public institutions, promoting fairness and opportunity for all students.

Mr Ibrahim promised to push for the inclusion of private university students in government education policies and a quota scholarship programs for PUSAG.

“As I stand before you, I make this solemn pledge that I’ll lead with integrity, courage, and transparency, to listen to your voices, act on your concerns, and defend your rights as well as fight to secure your liberties on campus”, the PUSAG President pledged.
