The Students Representative Council (SRC) of Prince of Peace Girls’ Senior High School in Kumasi has organized a vibrant week celebration dubbed Festum Pacis ’26.
The celebration, sponsored by Washington View Hospital and Promasidor, showcased various activities promoting camaraderie, talent, and community service.
Addressing a durbar of students and teachers prior to the start of the celebration on Wednesday, February 25, the Headmistress of the school, Mary-Juliet Antwi Kyeremeh, thanked God for the lives of the school community and wished them a successful celebration.
The programme kicked off with a Float, Candle Night and Bonfire on Wednesday.
In a typical mothers-and-daughters showdown, female teachers and students squared off to display their cooking skills prior to a Movie Show in the night.
Before the students took their teachers on a memory lane trip on the night of Friday in an event dubbed Old School Night, school authorities led the students in philanthropy with a donation to an orphanage, followed by games, health screening, and a health talk.
The colourful and memorable SRC week celebration was climaxed on Saturday with a drama, dance, meritorious awards, and beauty pageant won by Fortune Anambanga, a Form Two General Arts 3 student.
