The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, kicked off the Royal Diplomatic Golf Invitational at the Apes Hill Club in Barbados today, November 12, 2025.

This prestigious event brings together prominent figures from the world of golf, diplomacy, and business.

PThe golf tournament, held at the scenic Apes Hill Club, features notable attendees, including Neil Murrell, Director of Sports, Barbados; Okey Ihejirika, Chief Operations Officer of Afreximbank Caribbean Office; Jody Addison, Director of Golf and Operations at Apes Hill Club; Makayla Murrell; Ian Jackson; Charles Sekyere, and others.

Otumfuo is Barbados for GUBA Trade and Investment Conference which will end on Wednesday November 13.

He arrived on Tuesday with other prominent chiefs from the Asante Kingdom and visited Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, where the two leaders held talks on issues of mutual interest and exchanged gifts.
