Less than 1 minute Minutes

The newly promoted Commissioner of Police (COP) Mr Emmanuel Teye-Cudjoe attributes his rise to the top to the blessings and directions from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene.

He recounted the Asante King’s blessings, support, and directions he enjoyed during his stay in the region, noting that they were invaluable.

The former Ashanti Regional Police Commander was a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and had a short stint in the region.

Despite his short stint, the Police Chief, who has been reassigned to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) at the national headquarters, believes Otumfuo’s blessings and invaluable advice have brought him this far.

He replaced DCOP Frank Abrokwah on February 12, 2025, and lived up to expectations.

DCOP Arthur Osei Akoto has taken over as the new regional police commander.

Before introducing his successor to Otumfuo at the Manhyia Palace on November 5, COP Teye-Cudjoe thanked him for his gracious support, blessings, and direction, pleading that the same be extended to his successor.

Accompanying the outgoing regional police commander were CP/Mr. Francis Kouame Somian, Deputy Regional Commander; Chief Supt Frederick Hammond, the Manhyia Divisional Commander; and DSP Godwin Ahianyo, Ashanti Regional PRO.
