The Asantehene, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has given his approval to the ‘Kumasi Business Connect ‘ programme, aimed at attracting business communities and investors.

Kumasi Mayor, Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi announced that the Asantehene has been officially informed about the programme and has given his blessings to it.

Consequently, the date for the three-day business-focused programme initiated by the Mayor, and likely to draw hundreds of businesses and investors to Kumasi, has been moved from October to November 7-9, 2025.

The Mayor also hinted that the City of Dortmund has decided to partner with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to expand business opportunities scope the programme comes with.

Ofori-Agyeman Boadi made the announcement when the Retail Manager for Agricultural Development Bank, Frank Okyere Adarkwah, paid a courtesy call on him on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

He said the ‘Kumasi Business Connect ‘ is a unique initiative that will create business opportunities for the banking, trade, tourism, real estate, and hospitality sectors, and encouraged industry players to take advantage of it to expand their businesses.

The Mayor added that the climax of the three-day programme will coincide with ‘Akwasidae’, and hopes to witness the presence of the Occupant of the Golden Stool, top government officials, including the President.

The Retail Manager for ADB and his team thanked the Mayor for the warm reception and assured him that they would take advantage of the programme.
