Earlier on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace, where the King of Asante met the two factions amidst heavy security presence, members of Kusasi and Mamprusi communities thronged the palace in large numbers in a peaceful atmosphere.

In anticipation of victory, followers of the two factions sang and danced to their traditional songs with intermittent chants.

Each of the sides committed to helping the Asante King find a lasting peace in Bawku, presented their lawyers with evidence of claims and other documents to the Mediator in a peaceful manner.

The King appealed to the factions to remain calm and respect the laws of the state as they anxiously await the President’s decision.
