THE DEATH of Queen Elizabeth II, the Head of the Commonwealth, has shocked the entire world, Press1News can state.
The famous British Monach, who reigned for 70 years, sadly died on Thursday at the age of 96.
Already, world leaders and monarchs have been sending touching messages to commiserate with the bereaved family.
The Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, the official seat of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has also sent an emotional message.
The palace described the queen’s death as shocking, urging the royal family and the British people to remain strong in these difficult times.
On his part, President Nana Akufo-Addo prayed fervently for peaceful rest for the soul of the departed queen.
Meanwhile, the deceased queen is expected to be succeeded by her first son, Prince Charles, who is the heir apparent to the throne.
Prince Charles visited the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi few years ago where he had fruitful discussions with the Asante King.
