Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has arrived safely in Barbados on Tuesday to attend the GUBA Trade and Investment Conference.
The conference, themed “Reclaiming Our Atlantic Destiny: Connect, Build, Renew”, is scheduled to take place from November 9-13, 2025.
Upon arrival, Otumfuo paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, exploring ways to strengthen ties between Ghana and Barbados.
He is expected to engage in high-level networking sessions, investment matchmaking, and exhibitions during the conference.
The Asantehene’s visit aims to foster stronger diplomatic and economic bonds between Ghana and Barbados, paving the way for increased trade, tourism, cultural exchange, and investment opportunities.
Asantehene is accompanied by Juabenhene ,Nana Otuo Siriboe II; Bompatamanhene, Nana Effah Apenteng, Oyokohene, Nana Agyekum Kusi Ababio; Asamponghene, Oheneba Owusu Korkor; Otumfuo Kyeame, Baffour Kantankrankyi.
The rest are Head of Protocol, Mr Ernest Sarhene ; Mr. Charles Sekyere, and Deputy Head of Protocol Emmanuel Osei Sarfo.
