The cultural heart of Ghana is bracing for an unforgettable night as the MTN-AshantiFest Music Concert reaches its fever pitch.
This Saturday, April 11, 2026, the iconic Heroes Park will host the festival’s grand finale, featuring a powerhouse lineup of local icons including rapper Oseikrom Sikani, drill sensation O’Kenneth, and the high-octane hype man AJ Aroma.
The concert serves as the crown jewel of this year’s AshantiFest, a collaborative initiative between the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council and headline sponsor MTN Ghana.
More than just a music festival, the event is a strategic effort to boost tourism, celebrate Ashanti heritage, and stimulate the local economy through a fusion of arts, sports, and trade.
The Performers
The stage is set for a night of high-energy delivery and “Oseikrom” pride:
Oseikrom Sikani:
The charismatic rapper is expected to dominate the night with fan favorites like Ronaldinho and Fine Girl.
O’Kenneth:
Representing the soul of Ghanaian drill, O’Kenneth will bring the raw, rhythmic energy that has made him a household name among the youth.
AJ Aroma:
Tasked with keeping the pulse of the crowd at an all-time high, AJ Aroma’s signature hype style will bridge the gap between the stage and the thousands of expected fans.
Month of Impact
While the concert is the main attraction, it marks the end of a highly successful series of regional programs designed to engage the community:
Sports:
A competitive U-17 regional football tournament.
Culinary Arts:
A food fair celebrating indigenous Ashanti delicacies.
Visual Arts:
A street art festival featuring vibrant murals created by local senior high school students.
“AshantiFest has become a vital platform for development and cultural expression,” noted Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister, whose leadership has been central to the festival’s growth.
Safety and Commerce:
Organizers have confirmed that security and logistics have been scaled up to handle the massive influx of attendees.
Beyond the music, the night also marks the conclusion of the AshantiFest Trade Expo.
The expo has served as a critical hub for local artisans and entrepreneurs to network and drive sales, further cementing the festival’s role as a driver of socio-economic growth.
As the lights go up at Heroes Park this Saturday, Kumasi reaffirms its status as Ghana’s premier destination for culture and live entertainment.
