The Akrofuom District Assembly has handed over a modern 3-unit classroom block to the Nyamebekyere DA Primary School on Friday, May 23, 2025.
The school building, which was started in June 2024, also has a headteacher’s office and store room, and was funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) Responsive Factor Grant – VI (RFG).
The project was constructed by Taw J Company Limited.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Gariba Mohammed Mustapha, presented the keys to the building to the Headteacher, Mr. Asamoah, and admonished school authorities to take good care of the facility.
He emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning, and urged stakeholders to cooperate with the government and the Assembly.
The Odikro of Nyamebekyere, Nana Asamoah, thanked the DCE and the Assembly for the facility and also requested toilet and water facilities to promote hygiene.
He lamented that the current situation requires teachers and pupils to cross a road to access water and toilet facilities shared with the public, and urged the District Assembly to consider the school’s plight.
Earlier, the DCE paid a courtesy call on the Akrofuom Gyasehene, Nana Anin Agyekum II, at his residence in Sikaman, where Nana Agyekum assured him of his support and blessings.
The DCE was accompanied by Mr. Ebenezer Douglas Ntiamoah, District Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Andoh, District Information Officer, and some staff of the District Assembly.
