MEMBERS OF TESCON have been prevented from voting at the ongoing NPP National Delegates Conference in Accra.
This shocking development is reported to have sparked anger among some leading members of the ruling political party.
One of the peeved members, Gabby Otchere Darko, said preventing TESCON members from exercising their franchise is not the best.
“TESCON are the intellectual hub of the NPP and we cannot deny them voting rights in our political party”, Gabby fumed.
He was speaking with journalists at the Accra Sports Stadium, the NPP conference venue, on Saturday evening.
The TESCON members, reportedly, suffered their fate because of a court injunction, placed on them at the eleventh hour.
Gabby said the seeming ‘bad’ treatment of the TESCON members, especially during NPP elections, is becoming frequent.
He has therefore stressed the need for something to be done about the situation so that the TESCON members would not feel sidelined.
“The TESCON in the Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions encountered challenges during recent regional elections and it is being replicated here today”.
Gabby has therefore appealed to the incoming NPP national executives to resolve the TESCON issue once-and-for-all to ensure peace.
