DR. MAHAMADU Bawumia’s hopes of leading the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the December 7, 2024 election with a landslide has been given a lifeline.

The NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has entreated residents of Ashanti Region, the NPP’s stronghold, to massively support the NPP leader.

Dr. Prempeh, who has served as the NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South for four terms, particularly charged his constituents to rally behind Dr. Bawumia.

According to him, Dr. Bawumia is the suitable person to properly manage the affairs of the country after President Nana Akufo-Addo had left office on January 7, 2025.

Dr. Prempeh, who is nicknamed as ‘Napo’, said the current NPP administration has worked tirelessly to put the country on the path of prosperity despite external shocks.

He said Dr. Bawumia is competent, hardworking, patriotic and a visionary leader, who has the wherewithal to continue the splendid works of President Akufo-Addo.

Napo, who was expressing his gratitude to the Manhyia South NPP for supporting him as their MP for the last 16 years, reiterated that Dr. Bawumia should be president.

He also called for massive support for all the NPP parliamentary candidates in the various constituencies so that they could win their elections to benefit the party.

The NPP running mate noted that he was expecting the massive support for both Dr. Bawumia and the NPP parliamentary candidates to be translated into huge votes.

“Vote for the elephant on the Election Day. Vote for Dr. Bawumia and all our parliamentary candidates”, he said, pointing out that unity would help the NPP to win the polls.

“The NDC is our major opponent in the polls. Let’s unite and use all our strength and resources to help NPP defeat NDC to enable Dr. Bawumia to become president”, he noted.

Napo sternly cautioned the electorates that if they mistakenly vote for former President Mahama, he would destroy all the good works that have been done by the NPP.

He said the NPP would not only win the election the election to break the eight, stressing that “we are winning the election to plunge the NDC into opposition for many years.

“2024 will be the end for the NDC because after Dr. Bawumia’s victory, there will be more victories for the NPP.
The NDC are destroyers and they are not coming back”.
