THE LEARNING of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) at the New Asafo Basic School has received a boost.
MTN Ghana, a mobile telecommunication giant in the country, has donated four brand new laptops and its accessories to the school.
Selorm Adadevoh, the Chief Executive Officer, MTN Ghana, says the presentation is intended to improve academic work in the school.
He stated that the kind gesture also forms part of activities marking MTN Ghana’s 21 days of Y’ello Care Event, held annually in June.
Selorm Adadevoh was of the view that the learning of ICT has become important globally so Ghana should also embrace it (ICT).
The donation, he said, forms part of MTN Ghana’s corporate social responsibilities, assuring of MTNs desire to support government’s effort.
Meanwhile, the school management has lauded MTN Ghana for their timely support and pledged to take good care of the laptops.
In a related development, Selorm Adadevoh has paid a courtesy call on the MCE for Asokwa, Akwannuasah Gyimah, in his office.
