Reverend Professor Edward Appiah, former Director at National Council for Curriculum Assessment (NACCA) has charged Ghanaian universities to model environmental protection methods in their outfits just like what pertains at Christ Apostolic University College (CAUC).
He also urged them to design programs and initiatives to sustain same.
Speaking as guest speaker at the 10th graduation ceremony of the Christ Apostolic University College (CAUC) at Kwadaso, Prof Appiah noted that keeping the environment green and tidy at all times had unimaginable benefits to the country and its citizens.
Professor Appiah also called on government to initiate policies and programs that would ensure the safety of the people and the environment.
“I am so much enthused about the measures CAUC has on its own as a faith-based outfit begun to sustain its environment as well as the community it is located and I urge that others learn from the green revolution mindset they have so that together we can help to reduce the pollution and environmental degradation resulting from illegal mining and deforestation”, Prof Appiah stated.

Addressing the graduands and the gathering, Prof Geoffrey Emi-Reynolds, President of CAUC thanked the Church for the investments it has churned into making the university function seamlessly and flawlessly.
He noted that despite the challenges confronting the university, CAUC has been able to use its internally generated funds (IGF) to cater for pressing needs including academic and non-academiv issues.

Giving details, the President said 253 students were graduating in the school’s 10th edition.
He noted that 44 were graduating with bachelor honours, 71 with diplomas and 38 were getting certificates.
Giving a breakdown of their performances, Prof Emi-Reynolds said 32 persons had first class honours while 78 had second class upper honours,.
He noted that 45 graduates had second class lower grade with 23 finishing with 3rd class honours.
The President also mentioned that 57 of the graduands were going home with pass grades, adding that six (6) persons attained distinctions.
