A FEMALE Mobile Banker in Kumasi has been robbed at knifepoint by some unknown assailants, the Buokrom Station Police has reported.
The victim, identified as Beatrice Owusu, was reportedly attacked by two young men, who brandished a sharp-looking cutlass during the short operation.
Beatrice Owusu, who was walking alone during the attack, lost several valuables including a cash sum of Ghc 15,815, a mobile phone and other items.
The hoodlums, who were riding a motorcycle, were said to have sped away to escape an arrest immediately they finished robbing the mobile banker.
Even though they were wielding cutlass, Beatrice Owusu, reportedly, did not resist as she coorperated with the robbers so she was not physically harmed.
The Buokrom Police Station Sitrep said “On 12/12/25 at about 1500 hours, Beatrice Owusu, a mobile banker of Okomfo Anokye Rural bank Pankrono Branch of Buokrom Estate E-line called at the station.
“She reported that on 12/12/25 at about 1400 hours, at Buokrom Estate F line, two young men, she cannot identify when seen, were onboard a motorbike with unknown registration number.
“Suddenly, they came and threatened her with a cutlass, snatched her hand bag from her and sped away”, leaving no trace of where they were heading towards.
The hand bag, the police disclosed “contained Samsung A16 valued Gh2,200.00, P.O.S machine, valued Gh 7,000.00 and a cash sum of Ghs 15,815.00”.
According to the police, they have since commenced investigations and hopefully they would apprehend the culprits to face the law very soon.
