THE CHIEF Executive for the Ghana Digital Centres Limited (GDCL), Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang on Sunday morning shared a meal with kids at the Agogo government hospital.
The gesture has become an annual tradition of the CEO anytime he celebrates his birthday which fell on Tuesday, the 24th of January, 2023.
Going from ward to ward to check on persons admitted at the hospital especially kids, the CEO together with staff of the hospital later converged at the precincts of the hospital to enjoy a meal specially prepared for kids at the facility.
Showing signs of profuse happiness, the kids sang birthday songs for the former Member of Parliament (MP) and prayed for God’s goodness for him.
Appreciation:
A 4 year old kid at facility said he was happy to have had the opportunity to eat with a man his parents adore in the house.
Clad in a shirt bearing the portrait of the GDCL CEO, young child said, ‘I would want to become like Kwadwo Baah Agyemang in future because he was humanitarian’.
A six year old girl who had been treated for Malaria said she suddenly became well after hearing of the visit of the former MP.
“This was the second time I was seeing Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang and I was so happy receiving gifts from him even when I was not well and I pray God’s favour for him all his days”, she said.
Chief Executive Of GDCL:
Speaking to Press1News, Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang said he remembers how he lost a child at the hospital anytime his birthday draws near.
He noted that it is the reason he always want to visit the kids at the hospital to pump hope into them and to bless them.
The CEO thanked the hospital authorities for always opening up to him anytime he visits and also for giving off their best in the care of kids and other patients at the facility.
“I bless God for adding another year to my age and I am grateful that he is with us in all things and surely I know these kids will grow to become great persons in Asante Akyem Agogo in future”, the emotional CEO prayed.
Nursing Officer:
Mrs Jacqueline Ofori, Nursing manager at the hospital thanked Hon Kwadwo Baah for being handy to help the hospital anytime he was called upon.
She praised the GDCL CEO fo his dedication and commitment to the facility and asked for Gods blessings for his life.
Mrs Ofori also encouraged others who are in fortunate positions to help put smiles on the faces of kids who by no fault of theirs found themselves in hospitals.
“I pray that God grants Kwadwo Baah good health and wealth to keep him coming to our aid and to never relent in doing good knowing that he will be rewarded”, the Nursing Manager prayed.
