“I’m not the type of politician who likes to abandon projects just because they weren’t started by my government,” he stated.

He added that while he works tirelessly to lobby the government to bring more development projects to the metropolis, ongoing ones will not be abandoned.

Addressing a gathering of stakeholders in the education sector in Kumasi on July 25, 2025, at the Prempeh Assembly Hall, the Mayor emphasized the need for adequate infrastructural development to improve education.

He also underscored the importance of adequate enrollment of teachers, warding off encroachers from school lands, and improving sanitation conditions in schools to enhance the provision of quality education.

He suggested establishing a motivating teacher award scheme to encourage teachers to give their best.

He therefore charged stakeholders in education to join him and the Assembly in sharing ideas to find lasting solutions to challenges confronting the sector.
