CLERGYMEN MET with the Mayor of Kumasi, Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, on Monday, June 23, 2025, to discuss arrangements for the metropolitan and regional sessions of the maiden National Day of Prayer.
The National Day of Prayer, initiated by the President Mahama-led administration and to be held every July 1, is set aside for special prayer sessions across the nation.
The clergymen, comprising revered reverend ministers of God and Muslim leaders, shared their thoughts and expressed willingness to celebrate the day in Kumasi to the glory of God and Allah.
On July 1, a non-denominational church service will be held for the Christian community at Calvary Charismatic Church (CCC), while a separate service will be held for Muslims at the Central Mosque in Kumasi.
The two major faiths will lead their congregants in prayer for national leadership, as well as a united, peaceful, and prosperous nation.
The Mayor of Kumasi appealed to the religious bodies to offer special prayers for government officials, especially the youth, so that they can lead with wisdom, fear of God, and humility.
