At a two-day orientation at Royal Larmeta Hotel, opened on Wednesday 8 April 2026, Kumasi Mayor expressed delight at the Assembly members’ support during his first year, citing progress in sanitation and law and order.

The training will equip the 59 members with knowledge on Ghana’s decentralisation policy, local governance, ethics, and local revenue mobilisation.

The workshop will also cover roles and responsibilities, administrative laws, and job creation strategies.

Hon. Ofori Boadi believes broadening their knowledge will greatly benefit Kumasi, a key business hub with other huge potentials.

He hopes the training will lead to more successes in the city’s development .
