The 2002 Year Group of Kumasi High School (KUHIS) Old Boys has presented 100 mono desks to the school authorities, marking a significant contribution to their ongoing Legacy Project.
This donation is the latest in a series of improvements undertaken by the group, which also includes the renovation of classroom blocks and the school’s main frontage.
Presentation:
The presentation took place at a brief ceremony on Monday, where the group formally handed over the desks to the Headmaster, Mr. Benjamin Tawiah Twum.
Members of the year group expressed their profound satisfaction at being able to give back to their alma mater.
Headmaster’s Appreciation:
Receiving the furniture on behalf of the school, Headmaster Mr. Benjamin Tawiah Twum thanked the group for their generous contribution.
Flanked by his three assistants and the Senior Housemaster, Mr. Twum commended the 2002 Year Group for their sustained commitment to supporting the school in fulfilling its responsibilities.
He emphasized that the provision of the mono desks was a highly commendable action, especially given the school’s large student population.
“We are grateful for your continued kindness and show of responsibility to Kumasi High School. I pray you succeed in all your personal and group endeavors,” Mr. Twum stated.
Call to Action
Abrante3 Isaac Yaw Owusu, President of the 2002 Year Group, reiterated the association’s commitment to supporting the school in providing the best education for its students.
He called on other stakeholders to join in their efforts to make KUHIS a leading institution in education.
In addition, a member of the group, who is also the Nkosuohene of Chirapatre, Nana Ankoma Nyame praised the Headmaster for successfully instilling discipline within the school.
He further urged the current students to study diligently to excel in their courses and to conduct themselves responsibly on campus.
Appeal to Alumni
Meanwhile, the School Prefect appealed to other year groups to follow the commendable example set by the 2002 alumni.
He noted that such collective efforts are vital in ensuring effective teaching and learning environments on the campus.
