FORMER PRESIDENT John Agyekum Kufuor insists the country progresses better whenever the NPP is in political office.
In this regard, he has tasked the NPP delegates and members to work assiduously and retain the party in power in 2024.
“Ghana needs the NPP in political office in order to develop properly”, the ex-president declared in a recorded video.
The occasion was the 2022 NPP Annual National Delegates Conference, held at the Accra Sports Stadium today (Saturday).
The NPPs next batch of national executives would be elected at the important programme, which is currently underway.
Kufuor urged the NPP delegates to vote for people “who will lead us to regain the trust of Ghanaians to ensure victory 2024”.
He also admonished the NPP members to jealously protect the unity and peace in the party so they can face the 2024 polls stronger.
“No political party has been able to break the eight year-rule cycle in our country before, so we need unity to win the 2024 polls”.
Kufuor also charged the NPP members to attract new members into the party so “we will have the numbers to win the elections”.
The historic programme was attended by President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Alhaji Bawumia and other party bigwigs.
