Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC’s former striker, Albert Amoah, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the club after joining Al Ahly Benghazi of Libya last Friday.
The prolific striker praised the hospitality and company he enjoyed with his former club.
Kotoko announced the exit of their reliable striker shortly after their elimination from the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup. They were eliminated by WAC of Morocco with a 6-1 home and away aggregate.
In-form Albert Amoah’s exit from the club came as a huge surprise to many Kotoko fans; however, the management believes the offer was in the best interest of the player and the club.
An extremely delighted Albert Amoah took to his Facebook page to express his heartfelt gratitude to the club, including his former coach, Prosper Nartey Ogum.
“I don’t even know where to start, but I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the amazing management team of Asante Kotoko for their unwavering support and trust in me.
Your guidance and leadership have been instrumental in my life, and I’m grateful for the opportunities you’ve provided me, including Dr. Nartey Prosper Ogum. God bless you, Sir!” he stated.
He described Kotoko’s current head coach, Karim Zito Kabutey, as a “wonderful head coach and technical team,” noting, “it was a privilege working under you.”
“To my teammates, you’re the best! Our collective effort, dedication, and passion have made all the difference.
I’m proud to have been part of this incredible team and appreciate each and every one of you. May we all be great! And to our supporters, your energy and enthusiasm fuel my journey.
My team and I are grateful for your unwavering support, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Thank you for believing in me and being part of my story. I’m honored to have you cheering me on! It’s time to say goodbye to this wonderful family.
Thank you all! Wo kum apem ah Apem beba!” he expressed delightfully.
