A jubilant Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC contingent will on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, visit the Club’s Life Patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to present to him two trophies.
Kotoko recently beat Hearts of Oak 2-1 to win the President Cup and, in addition, beat South African giants, Kaiser Chiefs, 3-2 on penalties to lift the Toyota Cup in South Africa last Saturday.
With their noses in front, the Porcupines will be led by Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, the Interim Management Committee chairman, in the presentation of the trophies at the Manhyia Palace.
The clinching of these pre-season trophies has not only brought joy to the Kotoko fraternity but also given handlers of the club a chance to assess the strength of their team, especially their new signings.
Information available to this media indicates that the club is expected to pitch camp in Cape Coast for their pre-season preparations ahead of their busy 2025/26 season.
It’s uncertain whether they will participate in the Ghana Football Association-sanctioned Top 4 Cup, but their participation in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup and Ghana Premier League (GPL) is obvious.
