OUTSPOKEN POLITICIAN, Kofi Akpaloo, has allegedly been apprehended by the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO).
He was reportedly picked up from his plush-looking Sokoban residence in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region, on Wednesday morning, around 11:30am.
Kofi Akpaloo’s captors, reportedly did not show any arrest warrant. They just broke into his bedroom and bundled him into a waiting car and sped away.
Reports reaching Press1News, said Akpaloo’s captors, who were dressed in EOCO uniforms, said they were ordered by their superiors to arrest him.
According to them, they were taking Kofi Akpaloo to the EOCO headquarters in the national capital of Accra but they refused to state the offense for his arrest.
Kofi Akpaloo is the Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), and he is noted for criticizing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
