KMA to organize massive clean-up exercise ahead of King Mswati’s royal visit

As part of preparations towards the visit of the Head of State and Kingdom of Eswatini to His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) will be organizing a massive Clean-up Exercise on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

The Head of State and Kingdom of Eswatini, His Majesty King Mswati III, will visit Kumasi from June 24 to 28, 2025.

In a press release issued by KMA’s Public Relations Unit on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, it stated that “the massive Clean-up Exercise aims to ensure the city of Kumasi is spotless and presentable to honor the distinguished Royal Guest”.

According to the release, all shops and commercial establishments are expected to close from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon to facilitate the clean-up.

The KMA therefore urges residents, businesses, and stakeholders to participate fully in the cleaning event.
