The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has announced a city-wide clean-up exercise scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2026.
The exercise, aimed at promoting sanitation and cleanliness, will take place across the metropolis from 6am to 12noon.
In a statement released by the Public Relations Unit, KMA has directed all trading and commercial activities within the Central Business District (CBD) to cease during the exercise.
Commercial vehicle drivers have also been warned that no vehicles will be allowed in designated areas during the stipulated period.
The operational areas for the exercise include Otumfuo Round-About to MTN Round-About to Zoo Round-About, Roman Hill Down to Aboabo Station Crossroads through Alabar to Apagyafie Crossroads to Dr. Mensah to Otumfuo Round About, MTN Round-and the entire CBD.
KMA is urging traders, corporate entities, commercial drivers, and residents to comply with the directive and participate fully in the exercise.
