THE ASSEMBLY Member for Krofrom East electoral area, Hon. Patrick Kwame Frimpong, has donated educational materials worth GHc25,800 to three schools in his electoral area.
He donated Mathematical sets to all final year BECE students in his electoral area, sanitary pads to female students and 150 pieces of dual desks to New Tafo M/A Basic and JHS schools and Adabyia Islamic Basic school which received 50 dual desks.
New Tafo M/A Basic Division Basic school got 70 pieces while Division JHS received 30 pieces of the dual desks.
Hon. Frimpong who is the Presiding Member of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and also the Chief Executive Officer of Safe Journey Foundation, an NGO which focuses on road safety campaigns, said the donation forms part of his annual contributions to enhance teaching and learning in the electoral area.
He advised the pupils especially the BECE candidates to take their studies very serious.
The KMA PM also encouraged parents and guardians not to relent in their efforts ti provide basic materials for their wards.
He stressed the need for parents to invest high in their wards education because education is the bed rock of every developed society or community.
Hon. Frimpong also admonish the head teachers and teachers of various schools to give off their best.
The donation was received by the Head teacher of the New Tafo M/A JHS, Mrs. Roska Boahen on behalf of the beneficiary schools who commended the Assemblyman for his continued support towards the provision of quality education in the area.
Mrs. Boahen called on Churches, organisations, well meaning individuals and stakeholders to emulate the gesture of Frimpong who she described as an exceptional leader.
