In a closed-door meeting with the Chinese Ambassador in Kumasi on Friday, May 23, 2025, the conversation focused on attracting Chinese investors for mutual benefits.

H.E. Tong Defa is in Kumasi at the invitation of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, to participate in the Art Awards organized by the Manhyia Palace Museum in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

The Mayor of Kumasi informed the Chinese Ambassador about the “Kumasi Business Connect” slated to take place from November 7-9, 2025.

The business event is expected to draw several hundred individuals and groups within the business ecosystem both local and international to Kumasi.
