Several hundred mourners will, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, join the Mayor of Kumasi, Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, to bid his late mother, Madam Grace Aboagye Yeboah, who died at the age of 73, a befitting farewell to eternity.
Top government officials, traditional leaders, national, regional, constituency, and branch executives of NDC, as well as other top political figures, will join the Mayor and family in mourning.
Heads of departments, units, and security agencies within and outside the Kumasi Metropolis will also throng St. Benedict’s Primary School Park, Tafo Nhyiaeso in Kumasi, to participate in the final funeral rites from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
Prior to the final funeral rites, in the morning, the mortal remains of the former educationist and pioneer of the 31st December Movement will be laid-in-state at her private residence in Tafo-Nhyiaeso from 4 a.m., thence to All Saints Catholic Church at Santaase for a burial service.
Her burial will take place at Bomso Cemetery, a suburb of Kumasi.
On Sunday, June 1, 2025, a thanksgiving service will be held at All Saints Catholic Church at 9 a.m., followed by the final phase of the funeral rites at St. Benedict’s Primary School Park from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
