I’m Committed To Ensuring Best Environments For Teaching and Learning In Ejisu—Lawyer Kwabena Boateng Assures

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu Constituency, Lawyer Kwabena Boateng has assured school authorities in the area of his commitment to ensuring that they have the best of environments to carry our their duties.

He also promised to lobby for support so he can resource the schools to undertake teaching and learning in the modern way.

Speaking during a visit to the Onwe Senior High School where he presented about two hundred desks to the authorities, Lawyer Boateng assured the school of additional support so they could have their libraries and classrooms in the best of conditions.

“We all know that Ejisu is one of the biggest constituencies in Ghana and so it is not surprising that we have some challenges with educational facilities and logistics but as MP I am committed to using my lobbying skills and influence together with the Chiefs and people to solicit for support to improve teaching and learning in schools within the Constituency”, Lawyer Boateng stressed.

Assistant Headmistress:
Madam Monica Addai Appiah, Assistant Headmistress at Onwe Senior High School on behalf of the school commended the MP for coming to the aid of the school in a swift manner.

She said it was disheartening to see the Form 3 students always struggling with the form 1 students over desks to study.

The presentation of the 200 desks by the MP, Madam Appiah said was therefore timely and significant.

“We have some uncompleted projects in the school and others including offices of the authorities which need some upgrading and we trust having visited the school and taken note of these we believe our MP would help us out in due course just as he has graciously donated these desks to us”, the Headmistress stated.

Accompanied by the Ejisu NPP Constituency Chairman and other party executives, Lawyer Boateng visited the Edwenease Government Basic school to inspect the construction of a six room classroom block.

The facility, the Mp explained was commenced by the late MP and Deputy Minister for Finance, Dr John Kumah.

Having taken office, Lawyer Boatend said he decided to continue the project which was at the lintel level but currently being roofed.

Later in the day, the MP visited the Onwe to Donaso route and inspected the road which is in a deplorable state.

Speaking to the media, the MP said he had met the Regional Minister and the Municipal Chief Executive over the need to rehabilitate the road for the residents, commuters and other users since it had become dusty and could cause health problems.
