“I Need Your Blessings to Succeed” – Agric Minister prays Otumfuo

Ghana’s Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Eric Opoku, paid a visit to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Friday, June 13, 2025, to pay homage to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and seek his guidance and support.

Accompanied by Ahafo Regional Minister Charity Gardner, Mayor of Kumasi Mr. Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, and top officials from the ministry, including regional officers, the Minister thanked the King of the Asantes for his support that has brought him this far.

He believed that with the King’s continued support, he would overcome the challenges confronting him with ease.

In response to the Minister’s plea, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II described him as his admirable son who has demonstrated humility and competence in discharging public duties.

He recalled that the former Ashanti Regional Minister was exceptional, humble, and results-oriented, deserving the support of Ghanaians to transform the Agriculture Ministry.

The King assured the Minister that he would continue to pray for him, so that during his tenure, agriculture would contribute significantly to Ghana’s economy.
