Struggling Basake Holy Stars FC has silenced Asante Kotoko SC on Wednesday November 26, ending their unbeaten run after a 2-1 victory at the AAK II Arena in Ainyinase.
The home side took the lead in the 48th minute through Richmond Somiah, but Kotoko equalized swiftly four minutes later through Kwame Poku.
Holy Stars stunned Kotoko with a winner in the 91st minute by Prince Tweneboah, handing the Porcupines their first defeat of the season after 11 Ghana Premier League (GPL) fixtures.
Kotoko, who have just been handed a shocker, return to Kumasi to host Medeama SC on Sunday, while Holy Stars welcome Nations FC at the AAK II Arena.
