BIBIANI Gold Stars FC coach, Frimpong Manso, has reiterated his assurance to win the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title after beating Berekum Chelsea 2-3 in Berekum.
He told the media after the match.
Gold Stars and league leaders, Nations FC, are tied on 60 points apiece, pending the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) verdict on the abrupt end of Nations FC’s weekend fixture against Basake Holy Stars at Anyinase.
Nations FC, who were trailing by a goal, walked off the pitch and never returned after a second penalty was awarded against them midway through the second half.
In an unexpected turn of events, Gold Stars, who seem to be the greatest beneficiaries of the outcome, are confident the league title is within their grasp as they prepare for their match at home against Accra Lions.
Meanwhile, Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC are third on the league log with 58 points after beating Medeama SC 3-2 in Kumasi.
The two-time African champions will play their last fixture against Vision FC in Tema, while Nations FC heads into their final match against Hearts of Lions in Abrankese without knowing their fate, pending the GFA’s decision.
