“It is a proven fact that development thrives where quality leadership resides,” he stated.

He noted that, “It is time for those appointed to state agencies and government positions to deliver excellence to the populace.”

Christians Role In Governance:

Pastor Joshua encouraged Christians to take an active interest in pursuing leadership roles within the country.

He argued that such positions provide believers with the platform to lead through the “unbridled wisdom and principles of Christ.”

He noted that Christian leaders who apply these values can accelerate development within their respective sectors, fostering the transformation Ghana requires.

“The time has come for Christians having studied the leadership traits of Christ to assert themselves in positions of trust. By doing so, they can spearhead the transformation necessary for a prosperous Ghana,” the CCC Minister remarked.

Outlook for 2026:

Looking ahead, Pastor Joshua described 2026 as a year of hope for both the Church and the nation.

He noted that while God provides opportunities for new beginnings, divine favor must be matched by human effort.

Expressing optimism, he stated that 2026 would yield positive results if Ghanaians remained energized and diligent.

“God is a principled God who wants the best for His people,” he stressed. ”

He stated that, “however, as a nation, we must be willing to ‘work our hands in the dirt’ to see the results we pray for.”

Governance and National Welfare:

Addressing the current political climate, Pastor Joshua commended the NDC administration for its initial efforts and urged President Mahama to remain committed to the policies and programs that earned him the mandate of the Ghanaian people.

He also offered words of comfort to those who suffered losses due to fire outbreaks or the passing of loved ones in the previous year.

He reaffirmed CCC’s commitment to supporting victims and prayed for a year of safety and protection for the nation.

New Year Benediction:

The service concluded with a sermon and benediction from Reverend Ransford Obeng, the General Overseer of CCC.

Welcoming the congregation including the visiting Oforikrom MP, Michael Kwasi Aidoo into 2026, he prophesied a year of success for Ghanaians.

He encouraged the faithful to walk in divine confidence and urged them not to be unsettled by negative declarations, but rather to use prayer to secure a fulfilling and purposeful year.
