GH Express, STC Commission Modern Office Complex In Kumasi

GH Express, a private transport company in partnership with the State Transport Company (STC) have opened a state of the art office complex and terminal in Kumasi to serve travellers in the metropolis.

The office complex can boast of an air-conditioned waiting area, banking hall, shopping mall, recreational center, sick bay, pharmacy, saloon, massage and spa center as well as a restaurant.

Unveiling the facility, the Minister of Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah commended the IOP Group, operators of GH Express for having such a vision aimed at transforming the transport industry.

“Government of Ghana is happy to collaborate with private business entities to develop infrastructure and technology that would create jobs for the youth and it is heartwarming that the IOP Group has done exactly that by constructing this edifice to commence business and to create job opportunities for people in Kumasi”, the Minister stated.

GH Express CEO:

Mr Joseph Sackey, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GH Express addressing the gathering thanked the government and the Kumasi City Authorities as well as the State Transport Company (STC) for supporting the company to set up in the metropolis.

The new office complex, he noted, was an avenue to serve travellers and make them comfortable with the provision of all services they may need before embarking on their journeys.

Kumasi Mayor:

On his part, Hon Samuel Pyne, Mayor of Kumasi commended Mr Isaac Ofori Poku, Group Chairman of IOP Group for deciding to invest in the metropolis.

The GH Express complex, he noted would give comfort to travellers and also generate other businesses for the mutual benefits of the people and city authorities.

STC Managing Director:

Nana Akomea, Managing Director for the State Transport Company (STC) welcomed the partnership between his outfit and the IOP Group.

He pledged his outfit’s support to enable the businesses of both entities to thrive.

Chief of Asafo:

The Chief Of Asafo, Akyamfuor Asafo Boakye Agyemang Bonsu who chaired the occasion, praised the efforts of the IOP Group and called on more private individuals and companies to partner with government to deliver services to the people of Ghana.

Such partnerships, he noted would drive investments forward for the benefit of the people and the investors.
