With just a few hours to the start of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League (GPL) 30th fixture between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko in Accra today, the official website and social media handles of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) are noticeably silent on the match.
Matches between the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana are typically highly anticipated.
However, it appears the league organizers have failed to adequately promote this clash.
The GFA has recently adopted the mantra “Bring Back the Love,” aiming to attract football fans to league centers and boost GPL patronage.
Nevertheless, the reason behind the GFA’s decision not to publicize this match remains unclear.
Other fixtures are listed on the GFA’s website, highlighting the conspicuous absence of promotion for this key match.
