The Chief Executive for the Ghana Digital Centres Limited (GDCL), Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang on Monday toured the Bono East, Bono and Ahafo regions with skills training programmes.
The training programmes were aimed at equipping the youth with technological skills to compete in today’s digital market space.
Training centers the CEO visited were based at Asutifi North, Kenyasi, Asunafo North and Goaso respectively.
“I am happy that the training programme has given me the opportunity to interact with you, the trainees it is important to emphasize how crucial technology skills play in today’s job market”, the CEO stated.

Hon Baah Agyemang highlighted the diverse training modules the GDCL offered.
He encouraged the participants to work hard and seek knowledge by asking questions whenever they face difficulties.
The CEO made it clear that the world was digitally transforming and everything in the world was changing.
“Currently, every profession and every work that you do required some level of IT knowledge”, the CEO stated.
Vision:
Hon Agyemang said the vision of the GDCL was to train and equip the youth of Ghana with digital skills.
He noted that this vision when achieved would make the Ghanaian youth competent in digital skills and marketing.
According to him, the youth needed to be prepared to take on the world since everything shows one can properly function with digital skills in this modern world.
“All the programs being taught are preparing the youth for the job market and this is the pivot on which this vision of GDCL is hinged on”, the CEO posited.
