EKK Foundation Supports Abono Kids With Exercise Books, Bags And Others

Evans Kofi Kwafo, a philanthropist and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the EKK Charity Foundation has together with members of the Foundation donated a total of 2000 exercise books to school kids in the Abono Community, a famous town in the Bosomtwe District. 

The Foundation also provided over 200 school bags as well as other learning aids to some of the pupils.

Speaking to this reporter after the donation exercise, Mr Kwafo said his outfit sees education as the best pivot which controls all human development, adding that they are committed to ensuring every support is given to kids who decide to go to school to learn.

“As a Charity Foundation our aim is to use the resources we gather to better the lot of the underprivileged especially school going kids and persons with disabilities (PWDs) and today we decided to show support to these kids at Abono to ensure they have access to items that will encourage them to be in school”, the CEO stated.

Upcoming Interventions:
Mr Kwafo mentioned that his Foundation plans to support about 2,500 persons with disabilities in three regions of the country.

He said starting from this month, some persons with disabilities in Ashanti would be assembled and trained as well as supported with funds to start their own businesses.

Others in the Bono as well as the Northern regions would also be visited and assisted in their communities, he explained.

“The plan by EKK Foundation this year is to ensure that we advance some considerable level of assistance in the form of training and the provision of capital for start up businesses for persons with disabilities (PWDs) across three regions namely Ashanti, Bono and Northern regions of Ghana”, the CEO stated.

Abono Chief:

Nana Agyemang Kodom, Abono Akwamuhene said the community was grateful for the gesture by the EKK Foundation.

He noted that the pupils in the Abono community go to school sometimes with empty hands.

The donation of books and bags as well as other learning aids, the Chief noted was therefore timely.

“On behalf of the Abono Chief i want to commend the CEO of the EKK Foundation and his members for this gesture and appeal to the parents of these beneficiary kids to help them to keep the books and the other items well”, Nana Kodom noted.
