Ejisu MP rewards best farmer with tricycle

The 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration in the Ejisu Municipality was successfully held today at Asotwe, drawing farmers, dignitaries, and community members to honor the diligent individuals who sustain Ghana’s food systems.

The national theme for this year’s event, “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future,” underscored the critical role of agriculture.

Key personalities gracing the occasion included the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Jerryne Asante.

A special acknowledgment was also made for H.E. John Dramani Mahama, as prominently highlighted on the official event billboard.

Presentation:

A significant presentation was made to the Municipal Best Farmer, Kyeame Kwame Serbe, on behalf of the Honourable Member of Parliament for Ejisu, Hon. Kwabena Boateng.

Representing the MP were the Constituency Vice Chairman, Mr. Kwame Bonsu, and other constituency executives.

Mr. Alexander Owusu spoke on the MP’s behalf, commending the exceptional dedication, resilience, and innovation demonstrated by the municipality’s farmers.

He emphasized the MP’s steadfast commitment to supporting agriculturists, recognizing their central role in ensuring food security and economic stability.

“As a constituency, we truly value our farmers. Hon. Kwabena Boateng believes that rewarding excellence motivates further excellence. This tricycle is not just a gift—it is a vital tool designed to enhance productivity, transportation, and overall efficiency on the farm,” stated Mr. Owusu.

The brand-new tricycle, presented as a tangible token of appreciation, is expected to substantially boost the award-winning farmer’s operations.

Kyeame Kwame Serbe, visibly delighted, expressed profound gratitude to the MP and the Ejisu Constituency leadership for the gesture, noting that the support will greatly ease the transportation of farm produce from the field to the market.
