DR. KOFI Amoa-Abban, a Board Member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC, wants the management of the club to sack its Head Coach, Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum.
The reason for the business mogul’s demand is not known to Press1News yet. However, it could be due to an alleged misunderstanding between the gaffer and the Kotoko management.

Rumours have it that Kotoko’s trainer during a meeting between the management and the technical committee of the board last Wednesday, said he would resign from his position.

Interestingly, before the end of the meeting, news of the resignation of Kotoko’s gaffer, who guided the club to win the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League, was all over social media.

In his tweet some few hours ago, the Kotoko Board Member suggested that the management of the club should sack the coach because, as he puts it, “nobody is bigger than Kotoko”.
Dr. Abban said “Kotoko is under the stewardship of a great management team, led by Nana Yaw Amponsah”, adding “Kotoko’s successes on and off the pitch last season is a testament to my claim”.

Meanwhile, Prosper Ogum who is currently on national duty as Assistant Coach of Black Galaxies, has remained tight-lipped since news of his resignation from Kotoko broke last Wednesday.
It would also be recalled that three days after the news of Prosper Ogum’s resignation broke, some of Kotoko’s Board members took to social media to debunk the wild rumour.
