Dr Bawumia Assists Injured Polling Station Officer With GHC100, 000.00.

The 2024 flag-bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and former Vice President of Ghana, Dr Alhaji Mahamodu Bawumia over the weekend presented GhC100, 000.00 for the care of Bernard Mensah, an NPP polling station officer in the Twifo-Atti Morkwa Constituency in the Central Region.

Mr Mensah, before the 2024 general election was reported to have fallen from long pole which supported him to fix some streets lights in his community.

Suffering broken legs and hand in the accident, the NPP member had been hospitalized and was undergoing treatment.

Mr. Mensah, according to the doctors require extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation.

Presentation:

Presenting the cash to Mr Mensah in his family house, Central Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Hon. Percival Quicoo on behalf Dr. Bawumia expressed admiration for the bravery of the injured.

He noted that the bravery and commitment of Mensah to the party and the nation was exemplary.

“Bernard Mensah’s selflessness and dedication to serving his community, even at great personal risk is a testament to the kind of patriotism and sacrifice that drives our party and our country forward”, the Chairman stated.

He added that, “we stand with him in this difficult time and will continue to support him as he recovers,”.

Details:

The cash donation is expected to cover medical expenses and provide some relief to Mr. Mensah’s family as he continues his recovery journey.

The gesture has been met with widespread appreciation from NPP members as well as people in the Atti-Morkwa community.

Many who were present at the family house praised Dr. Bawumia for his empathy and leadership.

Showing appreciation, Mr. Mensah expressed his gratitude to the former flag-bearer of the NPP.

He thanked Dr Bawumia and the NPP for standing by him during this challenging time of his.

“I am deeply thankful to His Excellency and the party for this generous support. It gives me hope and strength to continue my recovery”, the NPP member stated.

He stressed that, “I remain committed to the NPP and will continue to serve my community to the best of my ability”.
