Asante Kotoko’s Guinean striker Morifing Donzo has joined an elite list of foreign players who have scored against Accra Hearts of Oak SC in the last two decades.
Donzo, who scored a penalty against Hearts on Sunday, becomes the sixth foreign player to hit the back of the net against the Phobians in the last 20 years.
He joins the likes of Ahmed Simba Toure (11 goals), Sogne Yacouba (5 goals), Naby Laye Keita (1 goal), Frank Mbella Etouga (1 goal), and Fabio Gama Dos Santos (1 goal, via penalty won).
These foreign-born strikers have consistently troubled Hearts of Oak, and Donzo’s latest strike c adds to the rich history of Kotoko’s foreign firepower.
With their skill, flair, and determination, these players have become fan favorites at and outside the Baba Yara Stadium.
