Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, has made a brief visit to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to inspect works on the paediatric centre at the KMA Clinic.
She was in Kumasi on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, for other important official duties but took time out of her busy schedule to pay a courtesy call on the Mayor of Kumasi.
At the paediatric centre project site, the Deputy Minister gave a thumbs up to the work being done and urged the Assembly to continue their good work.
The KMA is constructing a modern edifice for paediatric care, including staff bungalows and auxiliary facilities, to boost healthcare delivery in the city, with funding from the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).
She advised management to support the Mayor, Hon. Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, to succeed in office.
She also advised the Mayor to maintain a cordial relationship with staff and assembly members, noting that without their support, it would be very difficult to excel.
On behalf of the staff, Mr. Francis Dwira Darko, Metro Coordinating Director, pledged their unflinching support to the Mayor, admitting that he (the Mayor) had been very supportive in their discharge of duties since he assumed office.
