According to him, there are still criminal elements as well as thugs in the system that needed to be addressed head on.

“The recent council of state elections and the use of thugs by persons known to be NDC shows that we still have work to do to sanitise the system and assure residents of their security”, the former Mayor stated.

Unnecessary Optics:

The former Mayour observed that since assuming office, Dr Amoakohene has been fixated in getting his images across social media spaces and to feed fat on it.

He noted some of the meetings and statements the Regional Minister has since made shows pettiness and populism.

Mr Pyne said Dr Amoakohene’s earlier statements that sought to suggest both he and the former Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah had run their allocated residences down when there were tangible reasons for same showed pettiness.

“Dr Amoakohene is a young man and full of promise but to seek to show that the former NPP administration did little or less work to bring development and sanity in the region is worrying and absurd”, the former Mayor stressed.

Seek Clarifications:

Mr Pyne said the way to getting support from all in the region is fornthe new regional Minister to operate an open door policy.

This, he noted was where those who needed to clarify actions and decisions could be reached by Dr Amoakohene to do so.

The former Mayor stated the secret to having a solid relationship with residents including past duty bearers is to ensure there is a clear channel of communication so that advice could be taken and worked on.

“Some of us who worked at KMA and other areas are still available to clarify issues when the need be and so there is no need to foul the air with propaganda and to behave as if a coup detat has happened rather than a change of government”, Mr Pyne stated.
