Though the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr is marked by pomp and pageantry, Mark Amo Mensah, Asokwa Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Organiser hopeful, pleads that it should be done modestly and religiously.
For him, the celebration is a time that reminds Muslims of the values of unity, generosity, humility, and service to humanity—principles of Islam.
He therefore warns against reckless riding of motorbikes, tricycles, and vehicles, noting that such attitudes could lead to fatal accidents and physical disabilities.
He stressed that life is a precious gift from Allah and should be appreciated while doing things that would please Allah and also produce good results.
Amo Mensah, in his brief tribute to Muslims in his constituency, praised them for their fortitude in the 30 days of fasting, hoping their desires and prayers would be heard.
He extended his warmest felicitations to cherished Muslim brothers and sisters on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, advising them to uphold the spirit of togetherness and peaceful coexistence within their communities.
He urged that the lessons of Ramadan guide Muslims to be more committed, tolerant, and dedicated to the progress of their constituency and the nation at large.
“To all our Muslim members and supporters in Asokwa, I say thank you for your continuous dedication, loyalty, and contribution to the growth of our great party. Your prayers, sacrifices, and unwavering support remain a pillar of our strength,” he stated.
He further urged them to renew their commitment to building a united, inclusive, and prosperous Asokwa under the banner of the NDC.
